Younger children took part in a colouring competition while older pupils rose to the challenge of designing a #PumpkinPower poster to communicate the importance of food waste recycling and its role in energy production.
After a tough judging session, our KS1 winners were revealed as Amelia Goodwin (age 6, Bradford Primary School), Grace Snowsill (age 5, Stratton Primary School) and Elliott Pollard (age 6, Holsworthy Primary), whose pictures all demonstrated great use of colour and some very neat colouring techniques!
Our KS2 #PumpkinPower poster winners are Mason Parker-Groves (age 8, Bridestowe Primary), Jaxon Inch (age 7, Holsworthy Primary) and Honey Edmonds (age 8, Stratton Primary). Congratulations to all our winners, who each receive a £15 book voucher for themselves and a £25 book voucher for their school.
Huge thanks also go to all the teachers and staff who coordinated the project again this year despite all the challenges of Covid-19, and to all parents and carers who encouraged and supported their children to take part. We were thrilled to receive so many entries; those shortlisted can be viewed below.
