Under the agreement, Andigestion will be the sole contractor for the processing of food waste for all six district council areas in Gloucestershire.
“We’re delighted that we are to continue working with the county council to recycle the county’s food waste; not only is anaerobic digestion a much more sustainable practice than sending it to landfill, but it has the added benefit of creating renewable energy for use in our homes,” said Mike Lowe, Operations Director, seen here (left) with Roger Smith, Contracts Manager, Gloucestershire County Council, who also commented:
“We are very pleased to be renewing our relationship with Andigestion as the successful company in the recent tender process, to treat the county’s household food waste.”
