ANDIGESTION OPEN DAY – 10TH SEPTEMBER 2016

Have you ever wondered what happens to your food waste once you have scraped it into your food waste caddy? This is a rare opportunity to find out where your food waste goes and explore one of the UK’s top anaerobic digestion plants, based right here in Bishop’s Cleeve.

Andigestion processes residential and commercial food waste from across Gloucestershire and turns it into ‘green energy’ for use in local homes, together with a nutrient rich fertiliser for use on local farms – so more food can be grown!

When working at capacity, Andigestion produces enough gas to supply up to 4,000 homes. That means Andigestion’s plant is able to provide clean, sustainable gas to every house in Bishop’s Cleeve!

The open day will take place on Saturday 10th September and will give local residents the opportunity to have a tour of the Bishop’s Cleeve plant as well as the opportunity to learn more about how food waste recycling and anaerobic digestion is benefitting the local community.

If you would like to attend the open day, please register the number of tickets and your preferred time slot below. Space is limited so please book your place now to avoid disappointment.
